We have some clashes in terminology, including:
playground = std wiki term for a test area for practicing page editing
playground = Tarim's term for installations
sandbox = An alternative term for a Wiki playground
sandbox = MediaSandbox
We should bear these in mind when creating pages, or consider adopting new terms for use within this Wiki.
We aim to keep the whole Wiki open for anyone to read but only allow registered users to create and edit pages. One notable exception is the User Contact Info page, which is (or should be…) readable only by registered users.
Chris has disabled the self-registration feature. If people want access, they need to email me. This is purely to prevent spambots filling the Wiki with crap.
Chris needs to settle on a good method of embedding diagrams in the Wiki.
SVG perhaps? There's a TCL-based plugin but that might be OTT.
For the contacts page, would be good to be able to put newlines within a table cell. How to do that?
Much as I prefer Creole syntax for headings etc, the Wiki quickedit buttons don't generate that. Might be better to stick with native syntax. Would also save me from having to modify the built-in syntax page.
